Manicurist/Esthetician
An manicurist/esthetician is an individual authorized by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) to perform all of the duties of an esthetician and a manicurist. These include cleaning, stimulating, and beautifying a person's scalp, face, neck, or arms; providing facial treatments; removing unwanted hairs; applying extensions to a person's eyelashes; treating a person's nails by cutting, trimming, polishing, tinting, coloring, cleansing, manicuring, or attaching false nails; and massaging, cleansing, treating, or beautifying a person's hands and feet.
Manicurist/Esthetician License Renewal
A manicurist/esthetician is required to take 4 hours of continuing education, including 1 hour of material dealing with sanitation to renew their license. Our TDLR-approved course covers the following topics:
- Sanitation (1 hour)
- Skin (1 hour)
- Hair & Nails (1 hour)
- OSHA Regulations (1 hour)
Total: 4 hours of continuing education credits.
